Another Scrappin' and Recipe Share

This week's layout is Pumpkin Pie, Black and White.  We actually used SU! Halloween patterned paper for a non-Halloween page/recipe.

 
This recipe uses Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, and Whisper White card stock.  The patterned paper is retired SU!  Faux stitching was added around the recipe.  Other supplies used:  oval punch, Hodge Podge hardware, flower brads, and Pumpkin Pie rick rack.

 
 
You can see below that the 12x12 scrapbook page uses all the same card stock and patterned paper.  In addition, we used Nestability circles.  Now, it is ready for pictures.

Scrappin' Fun in May

Since May in National Scrapbook month, we thought it would be fun to show you how easy it is to take a 6x6 layout and turn it into a 12x12 layout.  As you all know, we LOVE our 6x6 recipes.  Soooo, how fun to use those as our first layout idea and then using the same color theme, paper and layout turn to a 12x12 scrapbook page.  You are not only getting a great layout idea but one of our favorite recipes as well.  We will share this idea every Wednesday in May.  So, be sure to stop back every Wednesday for a new recipe and scrapbook page layout.

This 6x6 layout was created with Rose Red and White card stock.  We also used retired SU! patterned paper. Each square has faux stitching.  Grosgrain ribbon  (pumpkin and turquoise), brads and the trio flower punch were used to embellish this recipe card. 

 
You will definitely want to try this recipe.  It's a keeper!

 
Next up is our coordinating 12x12 layout.  Here we have taken the same basic layout as the 6x6 recipe but modified the colors a bit.  The accents were changed from small flowers to large buttons and a journaling tag was added to the page.

Back-to-School Time

School has started most everywhere by now.  We thought we would share a couple of fun ideas using Paper Fashions new School Days Bingo cards.  

Since most of us NEVER get caught up with scrapbooking, here is a two page 6 x 6 spread that would be perfect to capture that first day back to school. Of course, many of you may need it for pictures from several years back but it will work for whatever year you need.

Supplies used:

• Card Stock - Real Red, Pacific Point, So Saffron
• Other - Large and Scallop Oval punches, Real Red grosgrain and 1/8" yellow stitched ribbon,Play Date rub-ons, small paper clip from the Clips Assortment, White gel pen

 

We have not done anything with the Big Shot matchbox die in forever.  This cute matchbox was created to hold an entire assortment of these fun School Days bingo cards. 

Supplies used:

• Card stock - Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White
• DSP - Island Oasis (retired 8/31) and Play Date (inside)
• Other - 5/8" Real Red grosgrain ribbon, linen thread, Brights Brads, button, dimensionals

Big Shot Wednesday - Week #2 Big Bold Cupcake

Sweeet 16!  Happy Birthday, Austin!!

What perfect timing for a birthday.  Austin is a good friend of Melissa's son, Mason, and he just happened to celebrate his 16th birthday in time for us!  LOL  You know, with it being cupcake week, well, maybe cupcake month, it couldn't have worked out any better! 

Austin's mom baked him a HUGE cupcake.  So, we decided to create a scrapbook page using our April featured die, Big Bold Cupcake!

Supplies:

Card stock - Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Summer Sun
DSP - Chocolate Chip Patterns
Stamps - "Sweet" stamp from On A Pedestal
Embellishments - Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

Week #5 Join in the Cheer

For our final project this month, we chose to do a 12 x 12 scrapbook page.  It's been a long time since we posted anything to do with scrap-booking so we hope this will give you some inspiration to scrap all those wonderful photos you took at Christmas!

The first layer is a 12 x 12 piece of Real Red card stock layered with a 11-3/4 x 11-3/4 piece of Certainly Celery DSP.  Multiple layers using Real Red, Certainly Celery and Whisper White were punched using the eyelet border punch and then layered on the page.  These colors were also used for the photo mats.  A ribbon tied from our 3/4" Polka-Dot grosgrain was added to the top of each photo mat, creating a gift-package look.

Here is a close up of the Peace, Joy, Love and Cheer title.  It was cut from the thin card board that comes in the Designer Series paper.  It was covered with Whisper White craft ink and then embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  The picture doesn't show how truly sparkly and glitzy it is! (Notice, we used the entire die....no cutting apart, etc.)

Wedding Shower Bridal Book

What a great time to share this idea since it is National Scrapbooking month!  My good friend recently held a bridal shower for her daughter's best friend so I helped her t create a fancy little bridal book using our On Board Journal.  The journal was used as a guest book and then as a scrapbook for photos from the shower.  When designing for others I typically like to create two so I have an example to keep to share with others.  These are a few photos of the one I made.
