Another Scrappin' and Recipe Share

This week's layout is Pumpkin Pie, Black and White.  We actually used SU! Halloween patterned paper for a non-Halloween page/recipe.

 
This recipe uses Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, and Whisper White card stock.  The patterned paper is retired SU!  Faux stitching was added around the recipe.  Other supplies used:  oval punch, Hodge Podge hardware, flower brads, and Pumpkin Pie rick rack.

 
 
You can see below that the 12x12 scrapbook page uses all the same card stock and patterned paper.  In addition, we used Nestability circles.  Now, it is ready for pictures.

Scrappin' Fun in May

Since May in National Scrapbook month, we thought it would be fun to show you how easy it is to take a 6x6 layout and turn it into a 12x12 layout.  As you all know, we LOVE our 6x6 recipes.  Soooo, how fun to use those as our first layout idea and then using the same color theme, paper and layout turn to a 12x12 scrapbook page.  You are not only getting a great layout idea but one of our favorite recipes as well.  We will share this idea every Wednesday in May.  So, be sure to stop back every Wednesday for a new recipe and scrapbook page layout.

This 6x6 layout was created with Rose Red and White card stock.  We also used retired SU! patterned paper. Each square has faux stitching.  Grosgrain ribbon  (pumpkin and turquoise), brads and the trio flower punch were used to embellish this recipe card. 

 
You will definitely want to try this recipe.  It's a keeper!

 
Next up is our coordinating 12x12 layout.  Here we have taken the same basic layout as the 6x6 recipe but modified the colors a bit.  The accents were changed from small flowers to large buttons and a journaling tag was added to the page.

Date Cookies in a Pot???

Have you been trying our recipes?  Or have you even had the time to try any recipes:):)  If not, you really need to start because this one is ooohhh, sooo yummy and the holidays are fast approaching!

 

Aren't these mittens the cutest thing you've ever seen(we saw these on Becky's site) and so fun to make. These mittens were made using the Wide Oval punch and the wing (for the thumb) from the Two-Step Bird punch.  The cuffs were made from scraps and crimped.  We did use the polka dot embossing folder on the mittens.

Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies - One for you; one for me. One for you;

Don't you just love Mondays!!  Well, you will today when you feast your eyes on this recipe that's just in time for your holiday baking.

• Card Stock - Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink
• DSP - Sweet Pea (retired)
• Stamps - Tags til Christmas, Jolly Bingo Bits
• Other - Ribbon, Dimensionals, button, Crystal Effects, glitter, faux stitching

Red Velvet Whoopie Pies, Oh My!

Can you believe it's Monday, again?  My how the time flies.  But, since it is Monday, it's time for another recipe share.

This was another recipe from our Holiday Cookie recipe class.  Remember, all the class attendees got to try all the recipes as well as stamp them.  These would be a very pretty addition to any holiday platter.

 
The photo below shows that the filling recipe is one you lift out of the pocket.  What a fun way to utilize the library card pocket.

Supplies:

• Card stock - Real Red, Whisper White
• DSP - retired Sweet Pea
• Stamps - Got Treats, Jolly Bingo Bits
• Ink -  Basic Black, Early Espresso, Real Red, Creamy Caramel (sponging)
• Other - Crystal Effects, Early Espresso marker for faux stitching, gold eyelets, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Word Window punch, Designer Label punch

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Happy Monday! Here's another great recipe to bake and a 6x6 recipe card to create!

Can you smell that wonderful aroma in your house?  It must be these awesome cookies baking!!  

 

We recently had our annual Holiday Cookie Recipe class so we will be sharing some of our recipes and designs over the next few Mondays. This one was created using last year's holiday paper from Stampin' Up!  We created an "aluminum baking sheet full of cookies." 

 
Here is a close up of these cute cookies.  The brushed silver card stock was cut into a rectangle, corners rounded and a score line in about 1/4" to create the "handles."  Half inch circles were punched, crinkled and sponged to give a browned cookie effect.  The small chocolate circles represent chopped peanut butter cups in this case but would work for chocolate chips as well.

Apple Cider Pound Cake - Yummo!!

Aren't Mondays a great day to share recipes? 

What a great combination - a yummy recipe to eat and a fun recipe card layout using our Paper Fashions "Cider" Bingo Card.

This two-recipe card spread is another one of Diane's wonderful layout designs that we made last week when we all got together.

The cake recipe is one of her family favorites.   

For the 6x6 cake recipe card, we used Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard and Very Vanilla card stock. 

The "Cider" Bingo card was sized to fit the recipe - 2-3/8" x 3-3/8".

The stamp set is a retired SU! set but so fun to use and fit the recipe perfectly.  Notice that we cut out and popped up several apples.

For the coordinating icing page, we used the same colors of card stock, sponging and Itty Bitty background stamping.

The bracket accent was cut out from the Stampin' Up! exclusive Big Shot die, Hearts & Brackets.

So by now, you are probably starting to realize how versatile and fun these Fall Bingo cards are to use.  There are just too many ideas to share and so little time.  BUT, we will do our best!

German Turnovers, anyone?

We love doing these recipes not only because we get to stamp but because we also get to share some amazing recipes with you all.  In November, we are having our annual  Holiday Cookie recipe class.  If you live in the Kansas City/Overland Park area and would like to join us, please call or email us to reserve a spot in this November 15th class.  We make all the recipes so you are able to sample each cookie while you are stamping the recipe!

So for today, we are sharing another fall apple recipe idea.  This recipe has been in Gayla's family for a long time.  It can be made with other fruit - cherry pie filling works great - but we based this on fall apples!

Apple Butter Recipe, Yum!

Another great fall recipe for this marvelous Monday!  Apples are definitely plentiful this year and I love this simple apple butter recipe.  I used to make this by the MANY crock pot fulls when we used to sell all our homemade jams and jellies and the craft festivals.

Retired card stock and DSP were used but it fit the fall occasion.  The apple stamp is from the current hostess set, Apple Blossom.  The "SWEET" is from the On a Pedestal stamp set.  It is simply embellished with a button, gingham ribbon and sponging.

Nightcap Coffee Mix

We know you all love to get these great recipes that we share so what better way to use the Coffee Themed Bingo Cards then on an awesome recipe card.  Not only is this a great card to add to your collection but the recipe is a great one to make and give as a gift in a cute jar, tin or cello bag.

Supplies used:

• Card Stock - Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
• Ink -  Chocolate Chip, Black Staz-On, Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi
• Stamps - Morning Cup, Take a Sip wheel
• Other - blender pen, dimensionals, very mini buttons (non-SU), Tasteful Trim die,

 

These little sweetie's are about 1-3/4" square.  Hopefully by now, you all are getting the idea how great it is to be able to change the size to fit whatever project you are working on.
