Happy Friday...This week's freebie is a fun paper sack purse that would be a great party favor or gift bag.
Gathering you supplies:
- Card Stock - Pink Pirouette
- DSP - Ice Cream Parlor
- Lunch size paper sack - cut to 4" high
- Embellishments - buttons, brads, flowers, ribbon etc
First, cut your card stock. One piece is 5-1/2" x 6-1/4", the other is 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". Score the 5-1/2" x 6-1/4" piece at 2" along the 6-1/4" side. Using an Exact-o knife, make 2 slits wide enough for your ribbon handles on the scored line.
After you have adhered your ribbon, glue the paper sack to this piece making sure to only glue the back of the sack. (You want to be able to open the paper sack fully to fill it.)
Next glue the other piece of card stock (4-1/4" x 5-1/2" to the top of the paper sack.
Now, cut your patterned paper for the front, back and purse flap. You can choose to use all the same paper or stamp on the card stock but here are the measurements we used. The front and back pieces are 4" x 5-1/4"; the flap is 1-3/4" x 5-1/4". Glue all these piece to your card stock.
We added a few of the adhesive elements from the paper pack to dress up the front of our purse.
We created a closure piece one of the adhesive scallops, a crocheted flower and a fabric brad. We attached this to the center of the flap, over-hanging slightly. The velcro piece was then added behind this piece.
There you have it! Fun, fun, fun.........great for birthdays, party favors, or how about Easter!
