It has been a while since we created a hat on a nugget. We missed our Easter edition but we finished our patriotic edition. This Uncle Sam hat is made with lots of circles, about 55, in Real Red, Whisper White and Night of Navy. We glued stacks of five 3/4" circles and then glued those stacks together. They are all stacked on a 1-1/4" Night of Navy circle (brim).
The nugget is covered with a 1"x3" Whisper White card stock strip that was stamped with red and blue stars.

It wouldn't be Christmas without one of our "famous" nugget ideas!
This little tree is made just like the hats we previously shared - cowboy hats and the witches' hats. Lots of circles glued together. This was about 30-40 circles - several sizes. This time the circles weren't all stacked right on top of each other. They were staggered to form the tree shape. Once they were all glued together, the tree was embellished with red rhinestones.

The Mega Team - Melissa and Gayla
Here is another animal/character made with punches. Melissa received one of these swaps from convention. A couple of weeks ago, my stamp club made this as well as the lion from the August 27th post. I think this penguin would be adorable on a gift tag or featured on a card. Download this for the punch details.
Melissa came home with several fun swaps from convention and I fell in love with this lion. I have made several of these from the sample she got from Michele Keifer. I am going to let my stamp club make these next week so, sorry for the spoiler.
Here is a picture of the "parts." The "box" measures 1-1/2" x 5". It is scored at 2" and 3". The head is one Chocolate Chip scallop circle, one 1-3/8" More Mustard circle, two 3/4" More Mustard circles("cheeks"), two 1/4" More Mustard circles (ears), one 1/4" Chocolate Chip circle (nose), and one 1/4" Pretty in Pink circle (tongue). The paws are one 3/4" Chocolate Chip circle cut in half. I used a Chocolate Chip marker to make the eyes, mark the paws and to create "dots" on the "cheeks."
The tail is a piece of brown pipe cleaner and a pom pom on the end. I punched a 1/8" hole in the back at the base to insert the pipe cleaner through to give the tail more stability. I sponged around most of the More Mustard parts with Chocolate Chip.
