This note pad was created using items from our new Patriotic DIY kit. We have had these thick note pads for awhile and decided to start using them. This note pad uses the following supplies:

We couldn't think of a better day to bring you our next Divas' DIY kit than Memorial Day. This kit comes with all the supplies you see here and just in time to create so awesome projects for the 4th. You can create some great gifts for any patriotic party or for any military family or personnel.
There are wheeled papers, chipboard stars,
vintage sheet music and tags, ribbons,
buttons and more.
Here are a couple of examples we have created to share with you using supplies from the Divas' DIY Patriotic kit.
This 6x6 recipe card is made with Night of Navy and Kraft card stock. The star has been punched from the vintage sheet music and sponged. Two small pieces of the ribbon have been used to embellish this recipe. Everything has been sponged with Creamy Caramel ink and Itty Bitty Backgrounds has been stamped over most everything in Night of Navy.
This card was created using a matchbox fold and opens up from the bottom - the fold is at the top. The wheeled background sheet from the DIY kit was used as the layer. One of the chipboard stars was covered with the vintage sheet music. The other style of ribbon was used on this card. (There are two colors of ribbon included in the kit.) Look for another idea tomorrow!

With Memorial Day and the 4th of July just around the corner, this box was decorated in a patriotic theme. If you missed it, check out yesterday's post for the pattern. This box does hold chocolate but it would be a great party favor for your holiday party. It does hold firecrackers:):) There are actually some in the box! It would also hold embellishments like these we created with some of the items that will be included in our next DIY kit.

We only have a couple of kits left in our Etsy store but wanted to share a couple more ideas you could create with the flowers from the kit. They work great as an embellishment on a card or a note pad! These little fabric flowers are so fun to work with and oh so sweet....
To create the vintage look on the card, it was stamped using the "Sanded" background stamp and Itty Bitty Backgrounds. It was, of course, all sponged to give it an even more aged look. What a perfect card for any occasion. You know, the recipient could always remove the flowers, add a magnet on the back, and place them on their refrigerator as a reminder of that special person who gave it to them, you. :)
The note pad would make a perfect gift for any occasion. This one is covered with some of our vintage sheet music (watch for this coming in our next DIY kit).

We have come up with so many ways in which to use these cute little flowers, but, it's time to move on to our next DIY Kit.

We have been having so much fun collecting vintage-looking fabric, ribbon and doodads. We decided what better things to use in our first Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Kits. We are so excited to share with you what we have put together. We have tea-dyed three different fabrics and you will receive flowers from all three - 3 small and two large. We have also been busy creating our own tea-dyed scrunched ribbon. You will be receiving a yard of this as well. The spools we are including in this kit are regular spools we have stained. Some of our next kits will be including actual vintage spools that we have been collecting.
We have also included buttons, wire and a vintage tag.
You can make a variety of wonderful vintage projects with this kit. We didn't have time to make them all but we do have a picture of the cute little vintage spool flowers.
You will also notice the extra flower laying in front. What a great magnet, flower for a small pot, etc.
If you don't want to make a spool full of flowers, you could use all the flowers for magnets, cards, scrapbook pages, etc. The spools are great for keeping track of your ribbon, thread or floss. You have enough of the tea-dyed scrunchy ribbon to tie a bow around the spool and decorate a few other things. We tied a small piece around the wire of the flowers.....sort of like a leaf.
