Scallop Square Card....Sort of!!

At first glance, it appears this card, designed by Connie Hasselrick, is a regular scallop square-shaped card.  But that is only partially true. 

 
Connie did something we haven't done before.  See how she folded the card and then attached the scallop square piece to the inside of this square card. See the photo below.

Sew Glad We're Friends Card!

This card, designed by Linda Wright, is another fun idea using the popular sewing theme.

 
We stamped and cut out the dress form from the Stampin' Up! set, Sew Suite.  This really add some fun color to the card.

Great "Pop Up" card!

As promised, here is one of the fun samples we made during our shoebox swap last month and this one was designed by Patti Higdon.

This card was designed for Valentine's Day but this design would be adorable for Easter or several other holidays or occasions.  Enjoy!

Pretty Pansy Card

Although we don't like to think about it, we all sometimes need a sympathy card.  The inspiration for this card came from my friend, Wendy. Her pansies were shades of lavender; I chose to use Melon Mambo.  Hi ,Wendy!!

 
This card shows you how to use the butterfly punch to create these beautiful flowers. You simply punch two butterflies, sponge them or you could use watercolor paper, an aqua painter and ink.  These flowers were then "painted" with Crystal Effects.

 
Other supplies used for this card include:

• card stock - Whisper White, Basic Black, So Saffron
• Ink - So Saffron, Melon Mambo, Basic Black
• Stamps - Thoughts and Prayers
• Other - So Saffron ribbon, Butterfly punch, sponges, brads, Textile embossing folder, Little Leaves die

Tulips are springing up everywhere..

Don't we wish...hopefully it won't be long.

What a "cheery" birthday card!  See details below on how to make these tulips.

 
Supplies used for this card include:

• card stock - Whisper White, Old Olive, Bashful Blue
• patterned paper- SU! retired Sweet Pea
• stamps - Upsy Daisy
• Nestabilities, MFT grass die, two-step bird punch

Here you can see how the petals on the tulips were sponged and then "lifted" a bit after they were adhered to the card.  A drop of Crystal Effects was added to create a drop of dew.

 
To create the tulips, you will need to punch thre wings using the Two-Step bird punch.  If you use DSP you'll need to flip it over to punch one of them.  This is so that the two outside "wings" or petals in this case, are pointing out.  Glue all three to your stems.  What a great spring time card.

Hell0000 & Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you....aren't they just the cutest things! 

The base of this card is Crumb Cake card stock.  It has been layered with a piece of white card stock and then some retired SU! DSP.  The scallop and circles are all made using Nestabilities.

This was such a fun card to make!  The layers on the owls just make them, don't they?  If this card doesn't make you think of Spring, actually Summer, nothing will.....

 

Don't you love their "bling"!!  The Happy Birthday was stamped in Rose Red ink on Whisper White paper and then cut out.  It's layered on the scallop square.

• Punches - Two-Step Owl, Two-Step Bird, Scallop Square

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Here is a fun little St. Patrick's Day card.  We created this card using the layout and stamp as we did for our new Two-Style Tuesdays over on our Two Paper Divas site.

This card was a little more involved because all the shamrocks were formed with the small heart from the Heart to Heart punch.  The stem were cut free-hand.

Supplies: 

• card stock - Basic Black, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi
• stamp - Lucky Shamrock
• ink - Basic Black
• other - 1-3/4" circle punch, Heart to Heart punch

Sew glad were friends...

Sewing is hot, hot, hot right now.  There are so many fun projects out there that incorporate sewing, from 3-D projects to cards and paper sewing to fabric sewing!

 
 

This card uses the Sew Suite stamp set from Stampin' Up!.  The ribbon was stamped using the tape measure stamp and black ink.  The sewing machine was colored with Copic markers.  The saying was printed out on the computer and then small faux stitches were added.

 

Other supplies used:  Big Buttons, fabric brads, rhinestone brad, Sweet Stitches and Rose Red patterned paper, Scallop Trim Border punch

Chocolate To Do List...

Doesn't everyone have a Chocolate To Do List?  If you are a chocolate lover you do! 

 

The card stock featured in this card are Chocolate Chip, Close To Cocoa (retired SU!), Pink Pirouette and Whisper White.  The perfect combination for a "yummy" chocolate card. The stamp set is "Eat Chocolate" by Stampin' Up which can be found in the new Occasions Mini Supplement.

 

Here is a close up of the teeny tiny cupcake, from the same set, that was stamped, cut out and then topped with Crystal Effects and some glitter!  Add it to the center of a pink Designer Big Button with some Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon and twine.

So sweet...

My son Mason's best friend, Cayden, was over the other night and was telling me about his "4" month anniversary coming up with his girlfriend.  Yes, if you have a teenager (my youngest is 17) then you'll understand.  If not, well they celebrate their "anniversaries" often.  LOL  Anyway, Cayden said, "Hey "Ma," can you help me make a card for Jali for our 4 month.  <grin>  This was really not an odd request at all for me because not only does my daughter stamp but all of my sons have been known to make a card here and there over the years!  So, here is the card Cayden, Mason and I designed for Joli.

 

Now, remember, I simply guided Cayden and he did the rest!  He chose the colors, decided on what to say, punched, glued, laughed, and punched some more.... It was so fun watching the boys in my studio creating this card.  They, of course, LOVED the Big Shot because it's sort of a machine you know.  :) And, they had fun, trying to decide where to put things and discussing it amongst themselves...too cute!

I created the words for the heart on the computer and printed them out on white card stock and then Cayden ran it through the Big Shot using one of the heart dies from Nestabilities.

 

Supplies used for Cayden's card, or should I say "Jali's" card were:

• Card stock - Ultra Smooth White, Basic Black and Real Red, all Stampin' Up!
• The words "together" are from the Stampin' Up! stamp set In A Word
• XOXO - is a rub on from the Valentine package from Stampin' Up!
• Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder
• Large Oval and Scallop Oval punches, also Stampin' Up!
• Memento Black Ink
• Retired 1/2" Red Polka Dot Ribbon from Stampin' Up!
