Finally, after a whole month of preparing for Halloween, here it is! Thanks for following along and we hope you kept track of all the candy corn ideas. Please email us with your answers and we will draw from all the right answers. The winner will receive the Stampin' Up! Movers and Shapers Curly Label die.
To celebrate Halloween, here are our two little trick-or-treaters. These are 3x3 note cards. In case the costumes disguise our little trick-or-treater, he is the bear from Under the Stars found on page 89.
The cards are made with Basic Black and Whisper White card stock and Cast-a-Spell DSP. Frankie has for black eyelets in each corner and Candy has for black brads. Frankie's mask is just a scrap of Old Olive and his hair is free-hand cut from a scrap of Basic Black. Remember making masks from lunch bags and you poked holes for the eyes? Well, we used a punch to fit directly over the bear's eyes. We dug out those old decorative scissors for the bottom of the mask to create the torn look of an old bag. The small "bolts" on the side of his mask are made using the horizontal slot punch and cutting off the end straight.
The candy corn costume was created from three different sizes of circles, Summer Sun, Only Orange and Whisper White. Glue one on top of the other. View this photo
Then we just estimated how wide the costume needed to be to cover our pudgy bear. We punched a hole with the 1/2" circle so his face would show through. After all, he needs to see where he is going!
Happy Halloween!
